Focused Relaxation and Connection Sessions with Koshi Bells
What are Koshi bells?
Koshi bells, although similar to wind chimes, are distinguished by their high acoustic quality and precise tuning. They are made of natural bamboo and precisely tuned using eight metal rods soldered with silver at the base.
They produce soft, harmonious tones when moved by the breeze or by hand, thanks to a small internal component that strikes the rods.
There are four tunings based on the elements: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air.
Terra (Earth): G C E F G C E G (major chord).
Aqua (Water): A D F G A D F A (minor chord).
Aria (Air): A C E A B C E B (minor chord).
Ignis (Fire): G B D G B D G A (major chord).
Among their benefits, we can highlight that they stimulate the nervous system and aid concentration. Therefore, when used for relaxation, they make it easier for us to connect with the sensations they evoke.
What are we going to do during the session?
The sound of the Koshi bells is subtle, and you’ll connect with the vibration that emanates from each one. This session is designed to help you take that time—which we sometimes think we don’t have—to calm your mind. We’re going to allow our nervous system to be stimulated in a different way—not through stimuli that demand action, but rather through observation.
And what are we going to observe? We’re going to observe our bodily sensations, we’re going to observe our thoughts, we’re going to observe our emotions, and we’re going to observe our longings. In other words, we’re going to embody and live out what we long for as a reality that is already part of our lives.
