A bit more about me

Picture of Carmen Sánchez on a pathway with snowed mountains at the back.

My name is Carmen Sánchez. I am a Spanish citizen; I lived in England and Norway for several years, although I returned to Spain quite some time ago, where I now live permanently. That said, I take every opportunity I can to travel, especially to South America.

Throughout my life, I’ve gone through many stages, moments of crisis, and moments of reinvention, and those processes have helped me grow continuously. Although I didn’t perceive them that way at the time, I now know that they propelled me forward. And when they happen now, I observe them with deep gratitude, focusing on understanding the message they’re conveying and what they’re showing me that I need to learn—which patterns or mental blocks I need to change.

During those years, I would have liked to have had someone to support me through my struggles—someone open to listening without judging me, a safe place where I could find calm and support. Just as I know what it’s like to go through challenging times, I feel called to provide others with the space that I never found back then.

This is me during the Qhapaq Ñan pilgrimage in 2025. On this stretch, I was walking toward Apu Antipukara, in the Q’ero Nation (Peru).

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to learn about the culture, worldview, and rituals of ancestral traditions in South America, such as those of the Shuar people of Ecuador and, in particular, the Q’ero people of Peru, among others.

In 2025, I spent more than three months on a pilgrimage along the Qhapaq Ñan trail from Argentina to the Q’ero Nation in Peru, passing through Bolivia. The Qhapaq Ñan is the network of roads that connected the ancient Tawantinsuyo (Inca Empire). But it is not just a physical path; in Inca culture, it is the path of knowledge and the development of higher consciousness.

I facilitate processes involving experiences with expanded states of consciousness following the use of master plants, also known as entheogens or psychoactive plants. I support participants both during the preparation phase and in the integration phase following the experience, so that they can maximize the benefits of the insights that have emerged. In addition to my own journey with these plants over several years, I have participated in ICEERS Academy training programs: “Psychedelic Integration” and “Ayasafety: Enhancing Safety Around Plant Ceremonies.”

At the same time, I support people as they navigate a profound personal transformation, find stability, and transform internal challenges and perceptions into healthy and fulfilling experiences. In this way, they can regain their well-being, clarity, and a sense of purpose.

However, I haven’t always focused solely on supporting people through their personal journeys. I also have extensive experience in various fields, such as Human Resources, Administration, Project Development and Organization, Group Coordination, Multidisciplinary Team Management, and Teaching, which gives me a broad perspective across diverse areas.
